Local events

There are plenty of musical events throughout the country but these are the ones that are quite local and fully recommended. Book early, though!!

Music festivals

Crossover Festival

This is based at Sherbrooke Scout Camp,Calverton, Nottingham, usually held early May.

Music featured is Bluegrass, Old Time and Americana. This is a traditionally structured music festival, with concerts featuring international, national and local bands, workshops, open mic, dance, kid's concert, plenty of jamming, good food and drink. Superbly organised.

Glebe Farm, Bluegrass & Beyond Music Camp

Based at Glebe Farm Shop, Astbury, Congleton, CW12 4RQ. Usually held early August.

This is somewhere between a jamming weekend and a festival, with a heavy accent on player-development. Plenty of high-quality workshops, open mics and scratch-band opportunities. Loads of jamming, both organised and ad hoc. Quality food and drink.

Stu Williams organises a good number of concerts during the year. These are invariably in Frodsham.

Dozens of the world's top bluegrass and old-time bands have been presented by Stu and most concerts sell out very quickly.

Keep an eye on our 'latest news' page as these concerts are not to be missed!!
