It's been a while since I posted on the 'Blog' ! Most information is sent via the weekly email which reaches out to most of you. This includes the songs/tunes that we're likely to play on the upcoming Thursday evening 'jam' (held in the Function Suite of Helsby Sports Club). For those of you who do not (yet) attend the 'jam' but would like to be included in this communication, just email me and I'll add you to the weekly contact list. Last Saturday was the Helsby Sports Club Open Day, designed to encourage locals to check out the various sports on offer. It was a great success. The Bluegrass Club provided 3 hrs of music in the Function Suite/Bar to entertain those passing through ! Loads of pleasing comments and our presence was appreciated by the Club. My personal thanks to those members who attended & played their part in a great afternoon.
The "Song" section of the website is constantly being updated by me to keep our Thursday evening sessions 'fresh'. If you have a song that you feel would be a valuable addition, just let me know.
Our Charity Partner is Dee Banks Special School, Chester. During the year we raise money for them and provide our annual cheque at our Christmas party. I hope to take some Club Members to the school Oct/Nov to play music for the children.
